The Röhsska Museum
Design stories at the Röhsska Museum
The Röhsska Museum, established in 1916, is the only museum in Sweden specializing in design and craft. The museum collects historic and contemporary works to highlight and deepen the relevance of design history. In autumn 2024, the Röhsska Museum unveiled its new permanent exhibition, Design Stories, which occupies an entire floor and showcases Nordic design objects from the past 150 years. Featuring 500 items across various disciplines – craftsmanship, fashion, and product design – it invites visitors to uncover the stories behind each object.

We were thrilled to win the assignment of developing the concept and campaign materials for this new exhibition. The campaign needed to be adaptable over time, reinforce Röhsska’s brand as a specialized museum for design and craft, and, of course, attract visitors both for the opening weekend and beyond.
The insight behind our concept is that all design has an origin – a spark of inspiration, a need, a feeling, or a reaction. Curiosity, frustration, care, and passion are just a few examples. We also wanted to highlight the human side of design. By associating emotions with each creation, we open the door to everyone’s imagination and curiosity. The opening was a success and became one of the most visited weekends since the 2019 reopening.
